Preschool Assistant Wanted for Temporary Position

Your Mission

In this role, you will collaborate with other preschool assistants and a preschool teacher who leads the educational work. Together, you will design an education that is enjoyable, educational, and fun for each child. Over time, you will work with children of all ages as we rotate between departments based on the needs of the organization. You will actively participate in and drive the educational development work and the pedagogical documentation according to the preschool curriculum. You will participate in planning and evaluating the work. You will have daily contact with guardians and participate in parent meetings and development discussions.

You contribute to creating a positive, meaningful, and developing environment for each child in the preschool. Every child should receive what they have the right to - an education that is equivalent and of good quality in a safe environment.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• secondary or post-secondary education as a preschool assistant
• experience working as a preschool assistant in a preschool
• knowledge of the curriculum's content and an understanding of how it can be implemented in practice
• good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is advantageous if you also have:

• good digital competence
• experience working with children of all ages
• experience and knowledge regarding children with NPF diagnoses
• experience working with norm-critical working methods
• knowledge of child development
• experience actively driving the preschool's development and quality work forward

You are clear in your communication – both in your pedagogical approach, in collaboration with colleagues, and in daily contact with guardians. With your empathetic ability, you are attentive, listening, and respectful, and you meet others with understanding and care. Furthermore, you are flexible and see the value in helping where needed, easily adapting to changing circumstances, always with the children's and the organization's needs in focus.

You are self-driven, take initiative, and are responsible for your time and tasks. You are solution-focused, contribute ideas and improvement suggestions, and initiate activities that promote children's development. Your pedagogical insight helps you understand each child's unique needs and adapt activities to support their learning in the best way. You are quality-conscious. You always prioritize the organization's and children's best interests and are driven by the desire for children to have the best possible preschool experience with quality teaching and a safe environment.
